Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Simmerfy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Simmerfy is an AI-powered recipe platform that allows you to scan recipe URLs, customize recipes for dietary needs, save recipes, plan meals, and generate shopping lists.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one account

4. Free and Paid Plans

Simmerfy offers a free tier with unlimited recipe scanning, 5 AI customizations per month, and storage for up to 50 recipes. Paid Pro plans provide additional features including unlimited AI customizations, meal planning, cook mode, and unlimited storage.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time, and your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond normal use
  • Upload malicious content or interfere with other users

6. Recipe Content

Recipes scanned from external URLs remain the intellectual property of their original creators. Simmerfy extracts and reformats recipe data for your personal use. AI-customized versions are derivative works created for your convenience.

Community-submitted recipes are owned by their creators and shared under a license that allows other Simmerfy users to view and save them.

7. AI-Generated Content

Simmerfy uses AI to extract, customize, and generate recipe content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always use your own judgment when following recipes, especially regarding allergens and dietary restrictions.

8. Limitation of Liability

Simmerfy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to dietary reactions, food allergies, or inaccurate nutritional information.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
